Several curvilinear banks circa 4 metres in width are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The banks are orientated east to west down a north facing slope above a small stream east of Edgcumbe Cottage.
The banks partially correspond to field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map. The historic landscape is characterised as medieval enclosures.
The banks are interpreted as field boundaries or lynchets of medieval origin, that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
