Three contiguous rectilinear earthwork platforms are visible along the road west of Derriton on images derived from lidar data captured in 2007 and 2013. They correspond to plots of land depicted with small trees or shrubs on the Tithe maps, one of which is recorded in the apportionment as a nursery. However their form indicates the land had been levelled, and they could have been former house platforms associated with earlier settlement at Derriton, the abandoned plots later having been planted up for fruit trees.
