An earthwork pit and two mounds, located in woodland on the valley slopes south of Oatham, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2007 and 2013. Neither are depicted on the available historic mapping and it is possible that they are a result of modern ground disturbance. However it seems likely that they could be the remains of extractive activity, given the numerous examples of likely post-medieval date recorded on the slopes further north (MDV130578).
