A curvilinear bank circa 10 metres in width is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013. The bank is orientated approximately north-west to south-east in a south-west facing field west of Dunterton.
The bank does not correspond to any features depicted on the available historic maps, however it does align with a field boundary depicted to the south-east. The historic landscape is characterised as ‘Barton Fields’.
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin that passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
