Earthworks of subtle hollows and banks, circa 6 metres wide, that probably form part of a single curvilinear feature orientated north-west to south-east are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2010 and 2013.
The earthworks do not correspond with any curvilinear features depicted in this location on the late-19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
They are interpreted as forming part of a possible post-medieval of early-19th century trackway. The possible trackway is truncated by, and so predates, the Devon Great Consols railway (MDV3880) which was constructed by 1858, suggesting that it had passed out of use by this time.
