Two irregular shaped depressions, one circa 15 by 20 metres and one circa 8 by 15 metres are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The depressions are situated either side of a combe valley east of Mountjessop Wood.
One of the depressions corresponds with an earthwork depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First Edition map and subsequent historic maps.
The depressions are interpreted as extractive pits of post-medieval origin.
