An oval shaped depression circa 10 by 15 metres is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2019. The depression is situated on gentle north facing slope north-west of Pounds Cross.
The depression does not correspond to any features depicted on the available historic maps. Several subtle earthwork medieval to post-medieval field boundaries are recorded immediately adjacent (MDV114532).
The earthwork is interpreted as an extractive pit of post-medieval origin.
