Three narrow curvilinear banks and two narrow curvilinear ditches each between circa 3 and 5 metres in width are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2019. The earthworks are either aligned or parallel forming two linear features circa 8 metres apart. They are orientated north-east to south-west in a south-west facing field north-east of Maristow Gardens.
The earthworks do not correspond to any features depicted on the available historic maps. They are bisected by the earthworks of a former field boundary depicted on the Tithe Map.
The earthworks are interpreted as a possible trackway of medieval to post-medieval origin that predate the layout of the immediate landscape.

Understanding Landscapes Project, 2020-2021, University of Exeter Understanding Landscapes Project - Volunteer data, 247.2 (Interpretation). SDV363949.

The earthworks have been interpreted as a trackway.
