A curvilinear bank circa 130 metres in length and between 5 and 12 metres in width is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2019. It is situated on a west facing slope west of Maristow House. The bank is orientated north to south, curving to the east towards Maristow House at its southern end.
The bank does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps. It is situated within a plot recorded as lawn within the grounds of the 18th century Maristow House (MDV4050; MDV111604).
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of medieval to post-medieval origin, or as an 18th to 19th century landscaping feature that passed out of use prior to 1840.
