A large irregular shaped depression circa 25 by 35 metres is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The depression is situated on a north-west facing slope underneath woodland south of Maristow House.
The depression corresponds partially with an oval shaped earthwork depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First and Second Edition maps. A series of paths or rides are depicted through the woodland and incorporate the earthwork, forming an oval shape route around its centre. The earthwork corresponds partially with a horseshoe shape feature depicted on the Ordnance Survey Mastermap 2021.
