Name:Possible reave north of Combeshead Tor

Summary

A stony bank with a slight ditch on the eastern face. It extends from a newtake wall across a slight natural depression before rising up the slope to the granite outcrop that forms Combeshead Tor. It is about 0.6m high and is spread to 1.8m wide; it has been bisected by a leat channel. Its origin and function are not clear however it is on the general alignment of the curvilinear boudary work that crosses high ground to the north-west (SX 56 NE 171) and it might be an extension of this detached earthwork.

(13/02/2008) SX 5871 6892 A stony bank with a slight ditch on the eastern face.
