An approximately circular mound circa 21 metres across is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and 2019. The mound is situated adjacent to a more subtle earthwork outcrop on the edge of a plateau of land south-east of Maristow House.
The mound does not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps. A trig point is depicted adjacent. An enclosure is recorded immediately adjacent (MDV114475).
The mound is interpreted as a natural feature, part of a wider natural outcrop.
