A possible curvilinear hollow, circa 9 metres wide and orientated north-east to south-west, is visible as a subtle earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2010, parallel to the south-east facing slope.
The earthwork partly corresponds with a field boundary on the late-19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map but also closely follows the known course of the Lumburn Leat which crosses this area.
The earthwork is therefore tentatively interpreted as a surviving section of the Lumburn Leat, or else is a relict post-medieval field boundary.
