Full description
Burleigh, D., 2003, A Report on the Historic Chest Tombs in the Churchyard of St. Giles Church, Sidbury, Devon, No. 5 (Report - non-specific). SDV348681.
Chest tomb of Beer stone with a chamfered lid and ornamental corner columns. In memory of Margaret and James Salt and dated 1851. It was once surrounded by railings for which the supporting stones remain. The lid has a large void in it allowing water ingress and one of the corner columns is missing. Rusting iron has also caused fractures in the stone.
