Summary
Tin prospecting pits are spread across a shallow fold in the hillslope below and to the north of Leather Tor and also on the rising ground to the north-west. These circular or sub-circular pits, each with the characteristic low crescentic bank on the downslope, occur in many sizes and depths. They are of medieval or post -medieval origin. Surveyed 2007.

(30/05/2007) Tin prospecting pits are spread across a shallow fold in the hillslope below and to the north of Leather Tor and also on the rising ground to the north-west. These circular or sub-circular pits, each with the characteristic low crescentic bank on the downslope, occur in many sizes and depths. They are of medieval or post -medieval origin. Surveyed at 1:2500 scale.
