Full description
Hankin, C. F., 1977-1979, Harford Parish Checklist (Worksheet). SDV149931.
Site visited on 3rd November 1978. Lower Piles, south slope near the valley of Butter Brook, about 500 yards north-west of Butterbrook Reservoir. The ground is turf, and has almost been cleared of stones. A low mound of turf over stones which show through the overgrowth. Diameter 7 metres diameter. Height not more than 0.25 metres with a hollow centre.

Cairn '3' at SX64785963 of 10.0 metres diameter by 0.4 metres high has considerably enlarged its diameter downhill.
