Henstridge shown on Tithe Map with one small rectangular building aligned east-west within main enclosure.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Appears unchanged from the Tithe Map depiction.

No building shown on this map and area appears to be mainly tree-filled.

Henstridge Wood is recorded as 'Hengstrugge' in 1281 Assize Rolls. 'Hengstridge' in 1566.

There were four tenants at Henstridge in the 14th century, but none by 1566. Only a small building was present within plot 2129 on the c. 1842 Tithe Map. It was first recorded in 1281 as Hengstrugge. Enclosures still depicted on modern mapping.
