Name:Cheese press in settlement at Gutter Tor

Summary

The base of a cheese press is propped against a large boulder at SX57896677. The sub-circular granite block measures a maximum of 1.3m across and 0.3m thick. The rim, damaged on the upper edge, is 0.2m wide with an 0.1m deep channel on its inside. The press is of fairly crude manufacture and it was probably abandoned before it was completed.
