Probert, S., 2005, Ringmoor Training Area: Monument Baseline Condition Survey (Report - Survey). SDV363484.

(18/02/2005) Tin pits shafts and shallow openworks on Lynch Common and Ringmoor Down. The pits represent a combination of exploratory and extractive activities and lie in broadly east to west lines. Most of the pits are small, with diameters in the range 3.5m to 6m and depths of up to 1.6m. Interspersed with the extractive pits are a few larger shafts (up to 10m in diameter) and several shallow linear openworks. There are no buildings and no processing works associated with these features which cut through elements of the medieval or later field systems in this area.
