Site visited on 2nd April 1995. This agglomerated enclosure forms part of a partially enclosed stone hut settlement. At least 3 distinct enclosed areas are visible. The relationship between the enclosures is not clear but the ground plan would suggest that 'B' is primary, with the remaining two being added later.

Shadyback Tor prehistoric settlement includes at least six enclosures between Shadyback Tor and Trowlesworthy Farm. The group of enclosures alongside the River Plym are bounded on the west by a large riverside enclosure and extending southwards from Shadyback Tor into the fields of Trowlesworthy Farm where some early enclosures have been lost. At least fifteen hut circles have been identified both within and outside the existing enclosures.

The stone hut circle settlement complex extends over much of the monument and includes at least 19 enclosures and 37 stone hut circles. There are two discreet settlement concentrations, one lies to the north west of Trowlesworthy Farm and the other to the south east. The north western group of enclosures and stone hut circles includes two agglomerated enclosures and a simple one.
