Summary

The earthwork remains of a small rectangular structure adjacent to an abandoned trackway on Lynch Common. The turf-covered walls 1.8m wide and a maximum of 0.8m high enclose an area of 4.2m north-south by 1.6m. A possible entrance lies in the west side near the south-western corner. The origin and function of this structure are unclear.

(17/02/2005) SX 55676639. The earthwork remains of a small rectangular structure adjacent to an abandoned trackway on Lynch Common. The turf-covered walls 1.8m wide and a maximum of 0.8m high enclose an area of 4.2m north-south by 1.6m. A possible entrance lies in the west side near the south-western corner. The origin and function of this structure are unclear.
