Harford ash: a farmhouse built at the end of 19th c. Vis=25/1/1978.(hankin). The farm stands on the s side of the green by harford church. Granite outbuildings are much older than the house and were part of what was known as "harford farm" until the 20th c. ; the outbuildings probably 18th c. With later enlargements. The house is believed to have been built by a mr. H. T. Mackenzie, who first appears in kelly's directories in 1903. Harford was hereforda in domesday. It was held by reginald de valletorta of the count of mortain. Early descents given.(reichel).
