Summary
Until c.1913 a small cottage stood just within the enclosed land of combeshead farm on the edge of the open moor at addicombe. A small stream, which still supplies water to lukesland, the adjoining estate, separates the plot on which the cottage stood from the ruins of two semi-detached cottages which are still prominent at addicombe, and which are in the lukesland property.

The tithe map, 1838, marks the building, and ta "no. On plan" 111, has area 2 roods 21 perches, "addicombe cottage & plots" in east combeshead land. Description of building on w/s. First mentioned parish ratebook 1695.
