The plot is recorded as coppice.

An irregular shaped earthwork depression is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016 on the edge of Harcombe Hill. The depression is situated on the edge of a large plot recorded as coppice on the Tithe Map and continues to be under tree cover. The depression is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
