Worth, R. H., 1892, The Erme Yealm and Tory, 182 (Article in Serial). SDV261487.
A square building on the right bank of the River Erme below Harford in woodland is 3.0m square with walls of large river boulders 1.0m high, with a possible entrance to the south-east.

(05/06/1980) Internal dimensions: 9 feet by 9 feet (c.3m by 3m), wall height: 3 feet (c.1m). Situation. King's Wood, below Harford Bridge. In the private part of the wood, alongside the old path that was formerly used when this was considered to be a public path.
The site is on the right hand side of the path walking from Wilkies Moor northward. A tree of considerable height has grown up in the site.
Description. A small square structure of large river boulders standing to a height of 3 feet. Inside area is 9 feet by 9 feet (c.3m x 3m). Possible entrance on south-east. This is probably the "square building" described by Worth (1892): "square buildings are most frequent throughout the valley (of the erme), and nearly always in conjunction with tin works. One of great age exists in the woods on the right bank below harford. ".
