Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The earthwork does not correspond with any curvilinear features in this location.

A curvilinear ditch, orientated north-west to south-east and circa 4m wide, is visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The earthwork is not shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map and it is interpreted as a possible relict medieval field boundary that had been removed by this time. Other similar looking earthworks visible in this location which are of probable modern agricultural origin, however, cast some doubt on this interpretation. Some caution should therefore be excercised.
