A series of small and large earthwork depressions are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016 across the upper slopes of a wooded valley in Stoney Hill Plantation. The earthworks are of irregular sizes and varying depths. The earthworks are interpreted as possible post-medieval to 19th century prospecting pits and extractive pits.
