Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments, 41 (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Tithe Map shows building in this plot 41 ('two dwelling houses and court'). Rectangular building aligned approximately north-south.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The late 19th century historic map shows some changes on the site since the Tithe Map depiction; not clear if any of the older buildings has been retained.

Buildings have been altered since the later 19th century and the façade of the southern building aligns with Brookside.

'Brookside' is visible on images dating from 209-2021 and is largely unchanged. Adjacent building was still functioning as 'Walkhampton Stores' in 2009 but by 2010 appeared to have ceased trading; now a dwelling.
