A series of parallel earthwork banks are visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks are situated in a plot recorded on the Tithe Map as an orchard, which is depicted as having fallen out of use by the time of the First Edition OS map. The banks overlie an earthwork depression recorded as a marl pit.
The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to 19th century origin, that were established in an old extractive pit, and that passed out of use by the late-19th century.
