Several marl pits are depicted adjacent.

An earthwork depression is visible.

The pit is faintly visible as an earthwork.

An oval shaped earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 northwest of Evergreen Hill. The depression is circa 25m by 35m and does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. It is faintly visible on modern aerial photographs. A number of marl pits are depicted on historic maps closely to the northeast (MDV117114).
The depression is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit, probably a marl pit.
