Marl pits are depicted either side of the earthwork.

A circular shaped earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 north of Evergreen Hill. The depression is circa 25m across and does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. It is faintly visible on modern aerial photographs. A number of marl pits are depicted on historic maps closely either side (MDV117114).
The depression is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit, probably a further marl pit.
