A series of parallel banks are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to early 19th century origin, and that passed out of use by the end of the 19th century.

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

The plot is recorded as an orchard.

A series of parallel banks are visible as subtle earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks correspond with an orchard recorded on the Tithe Map, which is no longer depicted on the First Edition OS map. An extractive pit is recorded within the plot, which could either pre-date or post-date the orchard (MDVXXXXX).
The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to early 19th century origin, that passed out of use by the late-19th century.
