A curvilinear bank is visible as a subtle earthwork on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The bank does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. The bank is orientated approximately east to west curving to the south at both ends. It extends across a plot recorded as 'Lynch' in the Tithe Survey (Plot 2040). A possible field system is recorded in this location based on this field name and on documentary sources that this area was held by Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight (MDV10795).
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary or possible lynchet of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
