A series closely parallel linear banks are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The banks are situated across two plots recorded as 'Old Orchard Plot' and 'Second Orchard Plot' in the Tithe Survey (Plots 705 and 706). The orchards both passed out of use by the late 19th century. The banks extend into an earthwork depression interpreted as an earlier extractive pit (MDV131559).
The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval to early 19th century origin, that passed out of use by the late 19th century.
