A small irregular shaped earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 within South Wood. The depression does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, and is situated within a plot recorded as woodland since the Tithe Survey.
The depression is interpreted as a post-medieval to 19th century extractive pit.
