An earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 on the edge of Rex Plot Coppice north east of Ball Hill. It does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. The plot has been recorded as woodland since the Tithe Map. The earthwork is interpreted as a post-medieval extractive pit.
