The earthworks are situated within a plot recorded as 'Barn Close' (Plot 2130).

The earthwork does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, but is situated within a plot recorded as 'Barn Close' in the Tithe Survey. The earthwork is interpreted as a possible barn or building site, of medieval to post-medieval origin, that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
