A series of closely parallel linear banks are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. Some of the banks correspond with a plot recorded as 'Long Orchard' on the Tithe Map. The plot is not depicted as an orchard on the First Edition OS map. The remaining visible banks correspond with a plot of pasture recorded on historic maps. The plots appear to have established as woodland over the course of the 20th century.
The banks are interpreted as planting ridges for orchard trees of post-medieval origin, some of which passed out of use prior to circa 1840, and some by the late 19th century.
