A shallow irregular shaped earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depression is circa 30m by 20m and does not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. The area has been plantation since the Tithe Map. There are deposits of clay, silt, sand and gravel recorded. It is interpreted as post-medieval to 19th century extractive work, possibly for sand or gravel.
