Two adjoining curvilinear banks are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. One bank is orientated approximately east to west, the other approximately north to south. They do not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps, but the east to west orientated bank aligns with a depicted boundary to the east and may have been its continuation. The banks appear to enclosure a series of orchard banks earthworks (MDV131711) and may have defined an early orchard plot. The Tithe Map shows the orchard to comprise the whole plot, recorded as 'Higher Orchard'. The banks are interpreted as medieval to post-medieval field boundaries, that passed out of use prior to circa 1840.
