A series of small mounds with adjacent small pits are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on historic maps. They are situated within a plot recorded as under arable cultivation in the Tithe Survey. The plot is depicted as rough pasture and furze in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which developed into woodland over the 20th century. An extractive pit is recorded closely to the north-west (MDV131618). The earthworks are interpreted as possible prospecting pits and associated spoil heaps of 19th to early 20th century origin.
