Full description

A group of 'very doubtful cairns', possibly natural features caused by differential erosion.

Not visible on Royal Air Force 1946/7 aerial photographs.

These mounds are composed entirely of peat have a relatively steep profile. They are extremely unlikely to be 4000 years old and are certainly not cairns. Considered under Monument Protection Programme, but not recommended for scheduling.
