Three earthwork depressions are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depressions are all oval in shape and between 30m and 40m in width and between 45m and 60m in length. One of the depressions corresponds with a small enclosure recorded as a pit in the Tithe Survey and depicted as a woodland plot on subsequent maps. The other two depressions do not correspond with any depicted features on historic maps but are faintly visible on modern aerial photographs and photographs dating to the 1940s. The depressions are interpreted as extractive pits of post-medieval to 19th century origin, at least one of which passed out of use by the end of the 19th century.
