Name:Doe Tor Farm pot water leat

Summary

This dry and silted leat once supplied water to Doe Tor Farm; it commences on the left bank of the Doe Tor Brook and flows south to the site of the farmhouse. The channel is 0.3m wide and 0.5m deep and is culverted under a farm track. Waste or excess water was channelled from the farm into the fields immediately to the west.
The farm was abandoned between the wars though the leat is depicted as flowing by the Ordnance Survey in 1965.

(27/08/1998) SX 53738515 to SX 53658493. This dry and silted leat once supplied water to Doe Tor Farm; it commences on the left bank of the Doe Tor Brook and flows south to the site of the farmhouse.
