Sims, R., Knight, S. & Houghton, E., 2020-2021, East Devon AONB Lidar Assessment and Desk based Assessment (Interpretation). SDV363914.

A series of curvilinear banks are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. A north to south orientated bank corresponds with a trackway or footpath depicted on the First Edition OS map and leading down to a ford to the south (MDV72517). Similar banks branch from it to the east, but do not correspond with any depicted features. They are interpreted as further trackways of post-medieval to 19th century origin, some of which passed out of use prior to circa 1840 or may have been unmapped. Alternatively, some of the banks could be field boundaries of medieval to post-medieval origin.
