The plot is recorded as 'Pit Close' (Plot 613).

The depressions are situated within an area of woodland and scrub.

Two small earthwork depressions are visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. One is circular in shape and circa 12m across, and the other is oval in shape and circa 25m by 18m. The earthworks are situated within a plot recorded as 'Pit Close' in the Tithe Survey, and depicted as an area of woodland and scrub thereafter. The earthworks are interpreted as extractive pits of post-medieval to 19th century origin.
