Name:Military and civil boundary stones, Kingsett Down

Summary

One stone is a dressed granite post 0.7m high, 0.35m wide and 0.2m thick with the letters 'WD' above the number '42' inscribed in its S face. Immediately N of the adjacent field bank is a roughly shaped granite post 0.75m high, 0,3m wide and 0.15m thick bearing the initial 'P' in its N face.
The dressed stone is one of 46 marking the edge of the military owned property in the Willsworthy area (Brewer, 1986) while the other probably marks the boundary of Peter Tavy and Lydford parishes.

This stone is one of 46 marking the edge of the military owned property in the Willsworthy area.

(18/08/1998) SX 52678156. Two boundary stones flank a redundant field boundary on the E edge of Kingsett Down.
