Summary

An isolated hut platform of prehistoric origin is scooped out of a steep east-facing hillslope at SX55998397. Located at 430m above OD it measures 2.1m across with a slight boulder/stone bank and a 0.6m high backscarp. Located and surveyed at 1:2500 as part of the RCHME Willsworthy project.

(30/06/1998) SX 55998397. A hut platform scooped out of the steep east-facing slope overlooking the Dead Lake/Rattlebrook confluence at 430m above OD. The level interior is 2.1m in diameter with an 0.6m high backscarp and a slight boulder/stone wall to the east. There is no obvious entrance.

(13/01/2001) The feature remains as described though its positioning, on such a steep slope, is not typical of prehistoric hut circles.
