Stone simply inscribed 'WD' lies near the base of stone 'e' at the head of Dead Lake.

(07/07/1998) SX 5547784607. A recumbent stone pillar lies near the Peter Tavy/Lydford parish boundary NE of Hare Tor. It is 1.45m long and 0.3m wide ; no inscription is visible. It is probably a redundant boundary stone formerly marking the significant angle in the parish boundary at this point, although on the early OS maps the mereing is indicated by a pile of stones and this pillar is not depicted. It lies adjacent to the military boundary stone inscribed WD20 (SX 58 SE 61).
Surveyed at 1:2500 scale.
