(27/08/1998) SX 54718310. A disused Range Warden's lookout post is situated against the E side of Ger Tor overlooking the right bank of the River Tavy. The post has recently been reroofed though it has not seen use for several years. Constructed of coursed mortared boulders it measures 2.2m by 1.8m internally and 1.9m high. A wooden door lies against one wall. The post was originally designed to house lookouts posted to prevent walkers and animals straying onto the Willsworthy firing ranges. The date of construction is unknown but similar features at Doe Tor and Standon Hill are thought to originate in the 1920's.
Immediately to the N of the lookout, at SX 54698314, are a cluster of small concrete blocks, some containing iron rings, which are all that remains of the predecessor to the current Ger Tor range warning flagpole. The date of these features is unknown.
